How we handle your data

Who we are
The data controller is MAWA MTÜ (registry code 80667058), the organiser of Minu Eesti, at Sarle Gallery, Aia 17, Tallinn. Questions about your data: valerie.v.sarle@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you apply, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email, phone number, preferred language, chosen group, country of birth, languages, Estonian level, art experience, your answers about motivation and, only if you choose to tell us, accessibility needs.
Why we use it
To review your application, put the groups together and contact you about the programme. If you take part, also to report participation to the programme's funders, the Integration Foundation (Integratsiooni Sihtasutus) and the Swiss-Estonian Cooperation Programme, as their rules require. Accessibility information is used only to make your participation comfortable.
Legal basis
We process your data to take the steps you ask for before you join the programme, and to meet the funders' reporting obligations if you take part. News about future programmes is sent only if you tick the separate optional box, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Your application is stored on our own server in a Hetzner data centre in Helsinki, Finland (European Union). Only the Minu Eesti organisers can see it. Confirmation emails are sent through our email provider Resend, a US company, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The funders receive only the participant data their rules require.
How long we keep it
If you do not take part, we delete your application within 6 months after your group's programme ends. If you take part, we keep the information the funders' reporting rules require for as long as those rules require, and delete everything else within 6 months after the programme ends. You can ask us to delete your data earlier, unless the law or the funding rules require us to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict its use, or to withdraw your consent, by writing to valerie.v.sarle@gmail.com. If you believe we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee).
Cookies and statistics
This website uses no cookies at all, so there is no cookie banner. While you fill in the application, your answers are kept only in your own browser until you send them. We count visits from our server's logs without identifying you. The map loads from OpenStreetMap only if you click "Show map".
Photos
Photo or video consent is never a condition of participation. If activities are documented, we ask you separately, and you can take part fully without agreeing.
